The idea for Background Process came from years spent inside growing businesses, watching the same pattern repeat: capable people held back by scattered workflows, manual processes, information trapped in someone’s head, and tools that never quite connected. The work was getting done — but the business was running on effort instead of systems.
Background Process was built to fix that pattern. We work in the background so the visible business runs better: mapping how work actually flows, restructuring what’s broken, documenting what matters, and building the dashboards, automation, and systems that turn operational chaos into clarity.

Siena’s background spans people operations, training and development, and years of hands-on work inside growing businesses — the vantage point where operational chaos is most visible and most costly.
She founded Background Process to do the work she kept seeing businesses need: strategic operations restructuring and custom systems, built by someone who has actually run the processes being fixed.
